Marine Style Battery Terminal Adapter Boot Covers

Red and black, large, flexible covers completely insulate the large terminals on my Banshee 34M. Exactly what I was looking for.

I was installing a 2nd battery in the engine compartment of a 2011 Chevy Silverado 1500 LTZ. Along with that battery, I installed a battery isolator to manage the charging of both batteries. I normally go to a local battery store and have cables cut to fit, add connectors and shrink tape. Along with the cost of the completed cables, you have to add labor to the total. Well, while researching battery cables in general, so I would know what size cable to use, I discovered BatteryCablesUSA. If the cables and connectors are too short with the wrong size connectors, that's on you. My suggestion would be to use an extension cord as a measuring method. Lay it and run it from point to point with some slack and mark it. The BatteryCablesUSA cables are measured with the connectors attached, with the holes measured center to center. Easy enough. Measure the size of your battery terminal bolts where the cables attach. In my case, 3/8" positive and 5/16" negative. The hardest part of my project was figuring out what cable connectors to use for the battery isolator. Tight fit. So I placed my order and it arrived in a matter of days to California.
